MiniTest 70 FN Coating Thickness Gauge
The MiniTest 70 FN coating thickness gauge provides quick and accurate measurement of non-magnetic coatings on steel and insulating coatings on non-ferrous metal. It is small, lightweight and economical and widely used in the automotive industry on the shop floor for quick and easy measurements for paint layer thickness. The MiniTest 70 coating thickness gauge enables non destructive measurement of non-magnetic coatings (paint, synthetic materials, chromium etc.) on a ferromagnetic substrate (steel), and insulating coatings (varnish, enamel, synthetic material etc.) on conductive substrates (aluminium, copper, austenitic stainless steel). The MiniTest 70 FN has an integrated sensor and a statistics display showing number of readings taken, mean values, standard deviation, maximum, minimum. It is suited for both ferromagnetic substrates such as steel and non-ferromagnetic substrates such as aluminium or brass. The instrument has a measuring range of 0 to 3 mm / 118 mils on steel substrates and 0 to 2.5 mm / 95 mils on non-ferrous metals. It enables 1-point and 2-point calibrations.
